The Tower Bridge of London is an overhead suspension bridge, located in London, England, across the Thames River. It is named after the Tower of London. It is the first bridge from the Thames Estuary (15 bridges built on the Thames River), and it is also the symbol of London. The bridge was built in 1886 and opened to the public on 30 June 1894, linking the north and south of London as a whole.

600years history of China Tower Bridge

China Tower Bridge is located at the junction of Guanqiao Village, Zhenze Town, Wujiang (Beichang Village, Badu Town) and Lijiagang Village, Qidu Town. Founded in Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty (1368-1398), an arch-shaped three-hole bridge, named Shuangshi Bridge, was built in East and west of the island. Later in the town of two bridges to stone tower, so the name "double tower bridge". In the seventh year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1579), the bridge was repaired by Dongfen, Nanxun, Zhejiang Province, and the latter two bridges were in the same place. In the seventh year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1729), Li Rensheng decree and Qiu Meizhong raised money for reconstruction. The one on the east side was still arched with three holes, while the one on the West was changed into a beam. The existing bridge was reconstructed in Guangxu 27 (1901).
