As we all know, the sales of the vast majority of EU products need "ce certification", and the CE mark is the "ID card" of EU products. After brexit, CE certification is no longer applicable to British products. UK government has launched ukca certification.
UK government original announcement: from January 1, 2021, ukca logo will be officially opened for use. Products sold to the UK, CE mark will gradually not be recognized, must add ukca LOGO!
Ukca certification is issued by UK laboratories
The simple understanding is that ukca certification replaces the original CE certification, and the British generation replaces the original European generation. At the same time, ukca certification is directly issued by British laboratories, and the cost will be higher than CE certification.
Orders that do not arrive in the UK before 1 January 2021 but are already in progress will not be affected.
For the UK, the effective date of the ukca logo is January 1, 2021. Before this date, goods that have entered or are in transit are not affected by this system. In transit proof includes order, invoice, logistics list, etc.
2、 Change of intellectual property rights
Due to the change of the trademark law, the EU trademark will no longer be valid in the UK from January 1, 2021, and the brand owner should have a separate trademark in the UK and the EU Intellectual Property Office.
